Many of you may remember Judith; she left St. Anne’s after third grade. She was in class with us in Sr. Helen Marie, Sr. Mary Irene, and Sr. Agnes Rose’s class (and can remember them!) After leaving St. Anne’s, Judith attended Coventry Elementary, Roxboro Middle School and Cleveland Heights High. She graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s in Architecture in 1988.
What you may not know is what a gutsy lady she is.
A licensed architect and interior decorator living in the Big Apple and then the Washington D.C. area, Judith worked her way up the corporate ladder clocking extensive overtime. Married for several years raising furry kittens, from all angles it looked like a great life: a career woman having it all. That nagging feeling wouldn’t go away and Judith had to accept that she wasn’t happy: this wasn’t her “it.”
So, Judith changed her life.
After her divorce, she left the architecture field and moved back to the place she dearly loved, Cleveland Heights. Judith started a business from scratch. She didn’t go for financial stardom, she sought satisfaction, joy, and happiness in life believing/knowing financial security would follow.
Fast-forward five years and Judith’s brain child, The Loving Hands Group, has been featured on Cleveland CBS Channel 19 http://ow.ly/YfBUZ, Named “Best Home-Based Business,” and runner-up for “Best Business” in the 2014 Best of the Heights Awards by FutureHeights.
A unique business, Loving Hands provides life-enrichment classes and activities for senior adults and those with physical and mental challenges throughout the greater Cleveland area. A yoga instructor and Reiki Master, Judith’s company offers healing arts and holistic health care. The Loving Hands Group works individually with people at home, as well as with groups residing in-group facilities. Loving Hands is an alliance of experienced professionals who provide programs and services. These
programs empower people to continue learning, develop their abilities, and remain engaged. Judith likes to say that The Loving Hands Group provides “healing arts for happy hearts.”
While Judith spends many hours blogging and writing to help people learn, cope and grow, sometimes others believe she is a great topic to write about: http://heightsobserver.org/read/2015/02/27/ch-native-owns-homebased-yoga-and-reiki-center.
Committed to Loving Hands, she continues to deliver architecture and interior decorating services on an individual basis. For the past year, she has been joyfully sharing life with a great guy, Jay Pollock. She is also a diehard Ford Mustang fan and shows her 1969 Mach I at car shows often. While most are not local, she sees her extended, yet very close family often. Her website is www.LovingHandsGroup.com
